We are well situated for the town of Framlingham, which
is within a short drive, or, should you enjoy walking, a 15-20
minute walk across the fields arriving beneath the Castle
walls and beside the Mere.
Birdwatchers will enjoy the variety of wild life around the
Mere and the RSPB
Minsmere Nature Reserve is within easy reach.
Framlingham is an attractive small market town with a good
range of shops, pubs, an historic castle and church. Framlingham
hosts an arts week in June and English heritage run a series
of weekend events at the Castle. Framlingham has its own Gala

Open all year round, great for the summer, and ideal for
short breaks, the heated cottage is also suitable for winter
holidays and those visiting Suffolk and the Framlingham area
for family or business reasons. Easily accessed from the A12
(15 minutes by car), it is a perfect base from which to discover
East Anglia and for those wanting a quiet rural retreat.
The diverse Suffolk coastline, from Felixstowe to Southwold
via Aldeburgh, Dunwich and Walberswick, and Ipswich, Norwich,
Bury St Edmunds and Cambridge are all possibilities for an
enjoyable day out.
